WTB - Wii Stuff

Post by Latency »

So, Jasmine got a Wii for Xmas. It's proving to be a ton of fun for all of us (I absolutely have a riot with Mario Kart). I was curious if anyone has any wii accessories/games they don't use anymore and wish to sell. I'm mainly looking for extra controllers but might be interested in other things.

Already done on the second day, primarily for emulated games :). PC Engine with DraculaX is freaking amazing! I will buy the actual wii games though as I want to support small guys like VannilaWare (Muramasa: Demon Blade is the best 2D game I've ever played). Just bought Super Mario Wii today. If you support the great games they'll make more hopefully.

Is there a better way to firmware mod the Wii now, Joe?

Last time I tried, it just wouldn't play burned games.. Sorry to hijack!

Thanks JR. I'm gonna buy the games though. Maybe this would be a good way to try before I buy though :).

On another note, just bought Wii Component Cables from monoprice for $3.86 CND. After shipping and GST, it comes to $8.01. Still WAY cheaper than local ($35). After seeing screenshots, component cables look WAY better on a HDTV. 480i just don't cut it.

Well, it is in this case. It's not 1080P but it's hella nicer than interlaced composite shit. Plus 480P on the Wii is 16x9 while 480i is 4x3.

I thought the wii compsoite cables i bought improved the image quality enough to not be bothered that it was not HD. The pictures above where about what i got too for differance too... except of course twilight princess is banned from my wii
