I had the community league in my area that would have allowed me to appeal an overnight thing (my mom is relatively high up in the commitee) but theres a stupid math class early saturday mornings... *sigh*

FrozenLAN!!!

Post by AlphaDrake »

Registration is now OPEN!

Alright, we finally got the details nailed down for FrozenLAN (Friday December 1st at 7:00pm - Sunday December 3rd 10:00am) After calling many places we were unable to find a location to accomodate everybody. So this LAN will have 24 spots available for now (We may add more once we get the seating organized). This will be a first come - first serve signup, so go and register fast!

We ask that if you do signup, you stay for both days, as we would hate to turn people away for someone who is just staying for a couple hours.

This LAN will once again be at the Living Sounds Hearing Centre (12310 -105 Avenue) in the downstairs meeting room. So if you enter through the back (where the parking lot is) the meeting room is right inside the door.

Link for registration is up top!

Hope to see you there!

Hey, Shit happens that cannot be changed. Its really not my fault the LAN Party happened to fall on the same weekend that had been booked 3 months in advance...Maybe next time.

Next LAN is probably a March LAN, one of you guys is running a Janlan, and people have exams/diplomas. And if we go later people are going to grad and whatnot. And one of our guys is probably moving, and so twill probably be March (family day weekend is a nogo for the guy that is moving).

I LAN for fun, prizes are a bonus that sometimes turn into a fucking disaster (as seen before...) I have no problem going to LAN's with no prizes, that means less douchebags going just for free stuff.

I agree as well. No competitive tournaments means more fun.

Prizes can end badly
thats why you dont tell anyone about them
and just ask intel and nvidea and the like to send there customary boxes
and do random draws
competitive tournaments are rather unfair for a lan because half the time the players hit the learning curve dead on, not having played it, so you can only realy play games that are very easy to get good at, like Halo (lol@no controls) and C&C renegade (lol@ no recoil and DX8.1)
it was a great lan though
I would have loved to see the kids face accross from me, that was just cruel
