Re: Computers going to the ECO center
Hey Pink. Got the specs off them? Any of them viable as a server?
I'm a man. I do manly things. Like drink vodka straight, while doing 1 armed chin-ups, and punching baby bunnies. All at the same time.

Re: Computers going to the ECO center
well, the only decent server was the rack, 2 PIII 866mhz, 1gb ram, and it has a 55gb raid 5 array. (75gb raid 0) the dell dimention was suffering from the common problems of those clam shells, (darn I really wanted one) the motherboard and bios were to old for a P4 that was useful. It was also having strange bios issues. the 3 dell optiplex systems I have plans for, they are socket 370 celerons @ 900mhz and 1000mhz respectively, with random amounts of SDram. there was an HP slim desktop that was SO disgusting inside, (smoke) that I'm not even sure if it's work cleaning. that was about all the interesting stuff.Gomer wrote:Hey Pink. Haha, the HP was from a oilfield company just that dirty there, but no one smokes in the office.
Also, I forgot the spare SCSI drive for that server.
I might have a dell 5150 that you can also take if you want, will know in a couple days.

well, I should have the room I did get the dell to stop being weird in the bios, and the HP (with more ram) is actually not that bad. too bad that the dirt killed the dvd burner.JohnyRico wrote:Haha, the HP was from a oilfield company just that dirty there, but no one smokes in the office.
