my laptop doesn't put out worth a shit for my speakers...

Wouldn't powered speakers be a better route?

using a powered set on my laptop has half of the output...
my audigy in my desktop I just got rid of put out triple the bass with clarity.. this laptop however puts out SHIT for bass, and isnt all the clear (same speakers)

Wasn't it the Extigy which was external version of Audigy

i have a icemat usb sound card which puts out impressive sound though i think it prolly uses a fair bit of cpu power.
offers?
