Well Dolphin seems ansy to get this thread going. And since latency is an admin, he can edit my post for info if he wants...

What do you say we do the same as last time, megafps.com will take care of the MegaFPS registrants, and this thread for the GL registrants?

Date: March 19-20-21
Place: Goldbar Community Hall (same place)
Cost: I'm thinking $20, cause we didn't cover costs last time, and internet is going to cost $172 this time around.

Due to volume of LAN'ers and the over all getting along between groups.

We should have merger.
More LAN'ers = More people playing :)

I like the merger ones and we get hella lots of people. We just need to set up more servers for games like BF2, BF2142, BF1943, BF1942, BF Desert Combat ... really whatever we want!! lol. Actually I am thinking of seeing what I have for server-able equipment and bring a BF2//BF2142 server (with expansion maps, etc).

Another merger lan would be fun. Something big along the lines of last hallowlan. Big lan, rock band, saturday night movie, etc.

I know we tried to get a game of TF2 started at the LAN but we had trouble getting the server set up (also had no dedicated server). Any chance you guys still have yours from the last LAN?

Also: At the MegaFPS LAN we just had, we charged $20 for entrance, made sure we covered our costs, and since we had extra, we bought pizza for everyone. What do you guys think about doing a similar thing this time? (As I recall, not all costs were covered at HallowLAN with $15 entrance fees).

If we are having going to have another merger LAN, I can contribute more network gear if need be. I once again have access to two more Linksys SR2024 switches and two Linksys RV082 routers which support load balancing.

Let's do a merger. HallowLAN was kick ass. I'll provide the projector and atmosphere (I'll try and pick a cool theme and decorate the place again). We'll delegate other roles to various people and make this a fun one. Go ahead and book it Alpha.

Ya, just book her up...

jack the price a tiny bit, definalty. We had no money to buy some things we really needed last lan. I did however buy some of the stuff anyway.

I learned a little about the power requirments last round and promise it will work well this time
