Who knows's few games few out in late Feb that I'm sure will will be played at Lan.

I'm also with Dan and LiViD on the no speaker rule, and there's no excuse, cheap pair of headphones cost 20 bucks.

I can't edit your post so you'll have to update it. I am the admin for the backend (upgrading the software, etc) but not for editing posts and whatnot.

And you should have said something to me at the last LAN about cash for the internet. People gave me receipts and I thought everything was covered. I even gave some out of towners free registration because I thought we covered all of our asses and didn't need any more cash. Ah well. And why $172? i know the install isn't free but $172 to come and test the modem? I would be tempted to just say just screw the internet.

The internet fees weren't covered, and the guy who bought $50 in cookies for everyone (now he wasnt' expecting money back but it would have been nice...)

But yeah, $75 for internet, $100 install fee...

But 60 people at 20 each should be more than enough to cover internet and hall rental and stuff.. should even be lots left over to buy pizza or something for everyone..

Just a thought...

How would you and the MegaFPS guys feel about having no net at this LAN? Not a money thing but I have a hard time justifying shaw's actions. And next time let me know if you need cash for internet and cookies, I can't read minds :).

why the bitching about the install fees, ya can't expect them to lend you a modem, have a guy come out, spend a few bucks on wire, have the modem returned and then refurbed for just $40.

The fee is not unreasonable considering what we are actually doing, just pay the fee until we can get some one in their promotions department to consider giving us a break.

In the past I've had Shaw suspend my service for a time and there were no fees and no problems, is that an option here? Order it for a month, keep the modem and have it suspended after the LAN. They don't bill during that period and when we have another LAN it's activated again electronically so there are no fees.

I think that's reasonable for both ends, I mean we're paying a months service for 3 days use after all.
