While I'll be doing my best to play some of the multiplayer offerings, I have to confess that a good chunk of my time will be spent trying to clear through the fall backlog of games I haven't had time to get through. Why were all these games released at once?

Someone at the lan was sharing games and amongst his folders he had 3 repositories of portable lan games, one of them included UT. From what I recall, this is where everyone got UT from.

Oh so i guess your talking about UT 1. I'd be in for some UT3 as well. (though i think i'm missing some patch.)

TAKES about 3-4 hours, likely 4 for us since there will likely be 6-7 players and some may be new. i would actually like to run 2 games possibly, cuz the game gets really good when new players start to understand how its really played.

status ( for at least 1 game, GAME #1 ), 5 people makes a good game, so while this is all we need , 1-2 more would be great for a 6-7 player game

If it's friday night, I'll join both games since I'm new to it. But I have seen it played before and understand the basic rules. But if it's on saturday or sunday, I can't go due to work.

Yes. We can play UT3 as well. Some of us grew up with UT1 and like to play it too for nostalgia. I personally grew up with Quake 1, rather UT1; but not many people like Quake 1 because it's easy for other players to take advantage by doing the bunny hopping technique, and thus the game becomes too fast for some players.
