WTB: Battery Backup (UPS) x 2

Post by Qube »

If anyone has any healthy working UPS' kicking around (preferably greater than 500va) let me know and I may be interested in buying it.

I moved here with two APC UPS Pro 1000va and for some reason both died on me (I think I ran one dry for too long and the other just kicked out a couple of weeks ago). I've had a decent amount of brownouts during these storms we've been having so getting a bit worried.

The replacement batteries for my units are ridiculously expensive so probably not going to bother with that.

Actually, never mind, out of pure luck I just figured out I can get battery replacements fairly cheap for my unit. For some reason the model # listed on the APC website was wrong, but when I view the battery itself it lists my model as being supported.

I typically buy replacements from "Battery World" on 51st Ave and 98 Street.

Dunno about the other "Battery Worlds" around town.

Last UPS I replace the batteries for, had two batteries in it, don't recall the UPS size.
But it was $35/ea ($70 Total)
