Hello there,

I am Vestigal, and I am a member of the former SFGG, and we are looking at putting together some LAN parties at a hall. We were wondering not only if You fine people might be interested in participating in some of our events, but also what kind of equipment you had that you might be able to bring. In particular we are looking for a 24 or 48 port switch.

We currently have a hall booked for the 21st of June to the 23rd of June and will be hosting several tournaments. We were thinking of doing some old school games to be in line with the revival of our "retro" guild. Currently we are going to be playing Bf 1942 desert combat, unreal tournament 2003, tribes ascend, counterstrike source. We are very open to hosting tournaments of other games as well. There will also be a great deal of the file sharing. Message me for further details and we can add you to our Facebook group for the event.

Sadly this LAN will be 18+ as there will be a liquor licence purchased for the event, cause you know...Beer.
Almost sounds to good to be true

ummm guys, may I ask if I could borrow some tables?

I think I should be okay for Cat5 cables and switches, (maybe)

I've got a LAN in the basement scheduled for the 15th of November (Inb4 "can I come?" yeah I guess if you want... )

I don't have any tables, but figured I would update this thread for anyone looking for the gear in the future:

I have the GL extension cords, powerbars, 2 grey totes, and carpets.

If you want to buy a table, I'd recommend the white fold-up ones. Example: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/lifetime-6- ... e/10249626

You can get by with the cheaper tables, but people have to put their PC's on the ground. (Which they should be doing anyways....)
