Merger LAN

Hey guys,

There was talk before about a MegaFPS/GL LAN. We are planning our next LAN for December, I pm'ed Latency and haven't gotten a response. Are you guys still interested in the idea? Could you also let me know who would be the best to contact and how to do so?

Well we were thinking December 1/2/3 pending on how many people can and can't make it. Are most of you guys good for then? (Friday after work till Sunday whenever people get tired ((2 am ish)))

Now, just to clarify. GL is not a club, GL has no formal structure. There's no one you need to contact or anything, just invite us and people will come

Well, in total I have called:

18 Community Leagues
9 Hotels
4 Banquet Locations
2 Seniors/Activity Centres

And not a single one will have us for a LAN, we can't use the place upstairs we had last time because it's now being rented out full time. So instead we decided to go downstairs, and thus we can only accomodate ~20-30 people TOPS. (With carefully arranged seating). This means not everybody that went to MegaLAN (our last LAN) can come let alone a whole bunch of new people. So we are going to narrow down the list to people that REALLY want to come, won't bail on us, will stay for both days, ect. Maybe we can do a big big big LAN together in Feb/March? (we had some other groups want to do a big LAN with us as well). Thoughts? Comments? Anyone really want to come?

community leagues usually deny lans cuz they violate fire insurance rules, no occupancy over night

hotels don't like lans cuz not enough people buy 250ml cokes for 2.25, if they where smart they would serve 2 litre servings
