Getting a few people to play RTS is the same as getting a few people to play a console. not everyone likes RTS and same goes for consoles. You will never all agree on one game. Lets get some good FPS (it's what the majority plays at LANs) and when people need a break and slow down, let the RTS and console gaming commence. Just try and get along guys. And don't worry about an LCD just yet, I'm gonna try for a projector. If I find the gaming could be better and there are a ton of people playing consoles, I won't be afraid to tell them to shut things down and join the rest of us. The console and movies will be used for downtime, that is it.

I know RTS is exactly like bringing stupid rock band to a lan. Thats why i brought it up. I am not going to fight gayness anymore, I will just bring some gayness i like instead. Then we can all be happy in our little 2-4 person micro universes at the lan, just like at home

LOL Bullshit. You never needed encouragement to play your RTS's at LANs before. I doubt anyone's going to believe that you're "only playing them because other people are playing rock band" this time around. :P

It makes me feel dirty agreeing with Dolphin but yes...I do concur with this statement. STILL I would be up for some RTS fun once in awhile over the course of the lan during down times as Joe suggested. I would even recommend that if possible we try and keep the Rock Band in a section of the building that is well away from people if possible to keep the noise to a minimum.

What the hell. How do I get put on the list Latency? Do I have to drive to you and give you $20.00 and slip you a hunsky under the table? LOL
I'm a man. I do manly things. Like drink vodka straight, while doing 1 armed chin-ups, and punching baby bunnies. All at the same time.

Driving games are fun at LANs also. They seem to have that quick, competitive FPS feel to them.

Trackmania Nations, Flatout 2, Armegettron, Even Tag mode in Motorcross Madness2 are all awesome lan games.

First, stop with the negative attitude zero. This will be a great LAN.

Second, list is updated.

We'll have a console, and hopefully projector. If people are abusing this by not playing LAN games when they are available, we'll tell em to shut it down. Consoles can be used for downtime (aka, when half the group is gone for food or whatever).
