Cool. Might grab retail ETQW just so I can install it on linux as well. Only a few bucks more at BB.

You can still get the Steam version for that I think. It still gives you a CD key.

yeah, I think u r right. but i would have to install the windows version first and then copy the .pak files over to my linux game folder. and even though I'm not 100% sure it would work.

I don't think so. I think you just need to right-click on the game in your steam games list and click "View CD Key". Then just install the loonix version with that key.

edit: also, don't come to the lan with loonix.

Regular edition is aval at EB Games for 18 bucks taxes included... just bought my copy downtown.

And a heads for everyone that I won't be going all out with decorations. I have been searching long and hard and found nothing affordable for large and elaborate decorations. They'll be a shitload of jack-o-lanterns and some odds and ends, but nothing crazy awesome like I had hoped for. Sorry to disappoint . Should still be a great LAN regardless though . I haven't even focused on my costume yet :O.
