I got shitkicked by 6 people outside of a 7-11 when I was like 17 just because I was wearing "their shoes". Everyone stayed inside of the store and watched. Didn't call the cops or anything. Hope you boycott them too

What do you mean nobody stuck up for Mike....we all tried looking for those fuckers to ....ahem ... turn them in to the staff!! Mike didn't even see the guys again until the end of the event apparently and other then that we had no way to track them down. I still remember him coming up and telling us about it and when we looked around we said fuck it and went drinking.

As for the year I think it was '04.

Well, I am sorry that it happened. What did the staff say/do when they were told? I was probably still new on the staff at that time as I wasn't aware that this even happened...

If there is one thing to be said for a smaller event, it is that there are less douche-bags who are only there to win the "big money". Most of the people who go now are there for the fun factor, not the "competition".

Also...having the event in a smaller family oriented facility helps promote the "don't drink like a douche" mentality. Seriously, if you can't go 4 days without getting shitfaced, seek some help. Having a couple beers with your buddies is one thing, but there is simply no need for getting hammered.

Just going by what I'm told, the big events do unfortunately attract the kind of people who pull this kind of shit. If it was my event and I'd found out about it being the size that it is, I would have gotten their names and called them up stage for everyone to see for a "random draw" and when they're on stage in front of everyone confess the real reason I brought them up, and tell them they aren't welcome & have them escorted out, since everyone knows what they look like and what their names are, they'd be hard pressed to get into another event again.
