I think we all know repsonsible drinking at LANs is cool. excessive driking = fail
Let's just say that they didn't understand the words "no drinking" and proceeded to act like fucktards. Not worth getting into details, but from a LAN Organizer point of view, alcohol has no place at such an event. From a participant point of view I can see how a few drinks with your buddies might be fun, but I think the key thing is a "few" drinks.

I don't think my opinion needs to influence anyone and if I spoke out of turn then forgive me. :)

i dont think you should be so nice. those kinda of people fuck all of us. Its hard enough to get venues to house us as is, bad reps hurt everyone trying to rent space for a lan

I know what it is! JR doesn't like the sausagefest, and this LAN is promising to be a sausagefest! If it's not that what could it be?

Guys, don't worry so much about the drinking thing. The rule is, if I can see that you are drinking, you will be asked to remove it from the LAN. If I don't see it then what can I do? Just keep it very low key if you HAVE TO DRINK and act responsible by knowing your limit. If anyone is seen as being drunk and out of control, you'll be asked to leave the LAN with no warning. Like anything done in moderation, it can be enjoyable and fun and that's what this LAN is all about .... If you don't understand these rules then maybe get a helmet.

Yes, Latency, let me/US volunteers know when you want us there to setup.

I have any time you set, so Friday AM is fine too.

Friday morning, 9:30AM. Come just to hang out if you wish. The setup is easy and all I really need is one person to help with table setup.

Same here, I played it once at a LAN and then bought it for $5 on boxing day and never played it again. We could use more people with no skill to balance things :).

as much as I would want it to be tf2 all the time, full time TF2 is very unlikely. Not matter what game is popular, GL is completly random as to what game becomes the game the lan is remembered for.

dont get too worried about it becoming a 1 game only lan. It will vary from TF2, to supreme commander, to some flavour of UT, to rock band, to some CS like game ( but not CS itself, ya wont see that at GL), to some mini game like amagtron, to a movie, to partying
